Check Windows is up to date
select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update .

Update the device driver
- In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.
- Select a category to see names of devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the one you’d like to update.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Select Update Driver.
- If Windows doesn’t find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer’s website and follow their instructions.
Reinstall the device driver
- In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.
- Right-click (or press and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall.
- Restart your PC.
- Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
Open Command Prompt as administrator (search for it within the Windows start menu > right-click > run as administrator)
– Enter: sfc /scannow
– Once the scan finishes, enter: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
– Once the scan finishes, reboot
– Once rebooted, login and check if the registry entry exists
Uninstall and reinstall Office 2010
- Uninstall Office 2010 by using a Microsoft easy fix.
- After the easy fix is complete, sign in to the Microsoft Online Portal to reinstall Office 2010
